In this chapter especially in chapter eleven, i wanna shared some knowledge and few comments in building a customer-centric organization and customer relationship management. Actually CRM enables an organization to provide better customer service, make call centers more efficient, cross sell products more effectively, help sales staff close deals faster, simplify marketing and sales processes, discover new customers and increase customer revenue. Using analytical CRM to enhance decisions such operational CRM which is supports traditional transactional processing for day-to-day and analytical CRM which is supports back-office operations and strategic analysis and includes all systems that do not deal directly with the customer and customer relationship factor include clearly communicate the CRM, define information needs and flows, build an integrated view of the customer, implement in iterations and last but not least scalability for organizational growth.
Then, in chapter twelve, it is about ERP which means Enterprise Resource Planning. At the heart of all ERP systems is a database, when a user enters or updates information in one module, it is immediately and automatically update throughout the entire system. IT will automate business process, and then bringing the organization together. ERP system must integrate various organization processes and be flexible, modular and open, comprehensive and also must beyond the company. So far..this is what i have learned in this chapter..many more that i should to undertsand. Thats all for today. Tq ! :)
Chapter 9 and 10

Assalamualaikum..today our topic for this chapter nine is about enabling the organization in term of their decision making. It would tell us bout the definition of system organizations use to make decision and gain competitive advantages, quantitative models typically used by decision support systems and relationship between digital dashboards and executive information systems also bout types of artificial intelligence. Overall, i satisfied on what i have learned especially in thier transactions making also the digital dashboard that tell us about it integrates information from multiple components and presents it in a unified display. :)
Then what about chapter 10??..just for our additional knowledge, it is about extending the organizational especially in supply chain management. SCM has three main links which is materials flow from suppliers and their "upstream" suppliers at all levels, transformation of materials into semifinished and finished products through the organization's own production process and also distribution of products to customers and their "downstream" customers at all levels too.The factor driving SCM is visibility which is ability to view all areas up and down the supply chain with Bullwhip effect, then consumer behavior, competition and speed.
Chapter 7 and 8

In chapter seven, it is all bout storing organizational information especially bout databases. As we know, information is stored in databases, it will maintains information about various types of objects such inventory, transactions, people, and warehouses. It include Hierarchical database model, network database model and relational database model. The relational database advantages here is, it will increased flexibility, then increase scalability, reduce information redundancy, increase information integrity and also increased information security. Database offer several security features such as password, access level which mean it determines who has access to the different types of information and lastly access control in term of types of user access.
Whilst in chapter eight, it tell us bout accessing organizational information especially in data warehouse. Data warehouse provided the ability to support decision making without disrupting the day-to-day operations. IT is a logical collection of information gathered from many different operational database that supports business analysis activities and decision making tasks and the primary purpose of it is to aggregate information throughout an organization into a single repository for decision making purpose. It have extraction, information and loading and datamart. Many more that i have learned in this both chapter include their multidimensional analysis and data mining, information cleansing and scrubbing and also business intelligence. OK ! i think it is enough for today. :)
Chapter 5 and 6

This chapter told me about organization structures that support strategic initiatives that detailed explain and give knowledge to me about its IT role and responsibilities in term of their related strategic position such Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Security Officer, Chief Privacy Officer and Chief Knowledge Officer. Business personnel possess expertise in functional areas such as marketing, accounting and sales.IT have the technological expertise and this typically causes a communications gaps between the business personnel and IT personnel. So,business personnel must seek to increase their understanding of IT by improving their communication.Ethics and security are two fundamental building blocks that organizations must base their businesses on to be successful. Ethics here means the principles and standards that guide our behavior toward other people and the security is important in order to protect the information  from accidental or intentional misuse by persons inside or outside an organization.
for chapter six,it is all about exploring business intelligence and valuing organizational information.Since the information is everywhere in an organization, employees must be able to obtain and analyze the many different levels, formats, and granularities of organizational  information to make decisions. The most important things here is the characteristics of high-quality information include accuracy, completeness, consistence, uniqueness and timeliness.

Chapter 3 and 4

In this chapter,i have got knowledged on how the organization create a strategic initiative for implementing competitive advantages..
By using five basic components of supplier chain management such supply chain strategy, partner, operation and logistics. The most important thing here is effective and efficient SCM system can able an organization to decrease the power of its buyers and increase its own supplier power. Besides that, it also will increase switching costs to reduce the threat of substitute products or services, create entry barriers thereby reducing the threat of new entrants, then increase efficiencies while seeking a competitive advantage through cost leadership.CRM also can enable an organization to identify types of customers, design individual customer marketing campaigns, treat each customer as an individual and understand customer buying behaviors. Same goes to BPR, and ERP.
For chapter four, it is about measuring the success of strategic initiatives. It have key performance indicator(KPI) which means it measures that are tied to business drivers, then saying bout metrics that are detailed measures that feed KPI's. Efficiency IT metric measures the performance of the IT system itself including throughput, speed, and availability, then effectiveness IT metric measures the impact IT business process and activities including customer satisfaction, conversion rates, and sell-through increases. They have used metrics for measuring and managing strategic initiatives include website metrics, SCM metrics, CRM metrics, BPR metrics and also BPR metrics. Many more that I have learned in this two chapter.
